Thankfully, the Devils woke up in the second half thanks to the intr0duction of fresh legs in the form of powerful forward Rocio Del Mar and back Celeste Leong. Del Mar, Charlie Surridge and Marissa Cox got the scrum under control and Jeannie Ivanov and Jane Cheung combined to start to control the ball, with Sammie continuing to cause problems with her powerful runs. This finally paid off when she pirouetted through several challenges to cap a period of Devils pressure with a good try.
Eventually, Seoul began to feel the effects of a long day of rugby and intelligent passing from Celeste Leong and Charlie Surridge allowed the still sprightly Aurore Marie to cause problems with her pace. Eventually, injured substitue Fiona Boyle once again shoed how dangerous she is even when not fully fit by making a late charge at the line, scoring between the posts to allow Marissa Cox to convert, and handing the She Devils a hard fought 12-10 victory.
