| The Beijing Devils came out flying…stuttered a bit…then systematically dissected Seoul. A solid performance by all involved. Of particualr note, it was good to see the old war horses (Willie and Elia) out there driving Seoul’s scrums backwards all day.
The Devils constantly aligned themselves correctly on defense and thwarted any of Seoul’s charges off the base of a ruck or bursts up through the centres. Seoul was unable to move the ball out wide all day and the Devils swarmed them when they cut back in. On attack, the Devils forwards worked very hard to win and retain the ball. This abundance of ball for the Devils backs enabled them to carve up Seoul’s backline. The Devils’ backline gave Seoul fits all day long. Good effort by all involved! |
