Shanghai Tournament November 2006
The Team:
Too many to name! A record 29 attendees! Not including photographer and supporters!
- Beijing Devils Mixed Division Team
- Beijing Devils Men’s Division Team (Also, played a mixed team)
- Flying Horse Mixed Division Team
The tour planning was, at least on paper, meticulous. However, the tour started off ominously when it was decided that the main Beijing airport expressway would be closed due to the arrival of some VIPs for the African Chinese forum.
Our very own Touch VIPs made alternate plans and took a round about trip to the airport and got there … More |

Beijing Devils Hong Kong Touch Tour May 2006
The tour began where all things Rugby in Beijing do, the Den… 5 members of the team met, shared a beer, then jumped into a van and headed for the airport. 2 delayed hours and a few games of cards later we were finally on the plane… which is where we sat for another good hour or so. During the wait and the flight Jane showed her seemingly natural ability to win at cards and to win at a game that she didn’t previously know and had only just learnt the rules through Nolan’s self proclaimed “broken Chinese”… On the flip side of the coin, The Fish and Marika … More |

Beijing Devils Touch rugby tour to Shanghai, October 2005
The first ever Beijing Devils touch rugby tour started from the Den bar on a Friday afternoon. All were there on time and thankfully the T-shirts were the first to turn up in the bar with some “Just in time” planning.
Anyway, things got underway in good style with the first beers of the tour being consumed in the bus to the airport. Discussions were soon underway to finalise a few spots in the teams for the following days action, some tough decisions needed to be made. Unfortunately, nobody really wanted to make them!

Touch tournament Seoul
The team:
Nolan – Skippy Brent – Dark Horse
James Te Amo – Warrior-man Marie - Harold
Jen – She-who-must-be-obeyed Jane – Jane and tonic
Paul - Bracey Andrew - Smaley
Star signing:
Peter from Cardiff
Cheerleading team (due to injury to lower limb):
Marika
Just for a change on this tour three members of the team decided to meet in The Den. This could be due to the fact that whatever Skippy says to a taxi driver, they are all so used to dropping him off there that they ignore any other destination instructions he may have given them. The rest of the team comprising our … More |

| Singapore tour July 2006 - 21/09/07 |
The Team:
Nolan – Skippy Jane – Jane & Tonic Chris – Brucey
Andrew – Daddy Marie – Harold Louise – Maude
Mullan – Basher Kara – Miss KL Ed – Wounded Knee
Merika – Mumsy Kyle – Caped Crusader James – Coach Dyson or CD
The team arrived in dribs and drabs. By the time Coach Dyson touched down on Tuesday night, Harold & Maude were already sick of the place. “Singapore’s so dull, dull, dull… I wish I was in Beijing,” said Maude. Daddy’s offspring had arrived a week early to acclimatize to the harsh conditions.
Jane, Skippy and Brucey arrived in Singapore bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at crack … More |
